Ayan Mukerji is gearing up for the release of Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer War 2<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n

Ayan Mukerji\u2019s War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR and Kiara Advani, is all set to release in two days. Ahead of the film\u2019s release, the director was seen visiting Shirdi Sai Baba temple to seek blessings. His cousin ad actress Rani Mukerji was also seen accompanying him. While Rani isn\u2019t directly part of the War 2 cast or crew, she is closely associated through her husband Aditya Chopra, who heads the production house Yash Raj Films, which is backing the movie. Rani also visited Shirdi to offer thanks after winning her first National Award in 30 years for Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway.<\/p>\n

A video shared by paparazzo Sneh Zala shows Rani Mukerji and her cousin Ayan Mukerji returning to Mumbai after their visit to Shirdi. The actress was spotted at the private airport in Mumbai, and was seen in a white ethnic suit as she made her way to the car. Ayan Mukerji was seen behind her, in a white kurta pajama. Rani happily waved at the paparazzi, and hugged Ayan before leaving. Check out the video below.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Rani Mukerji ad Ayan Mukerji\u2019s visuals from Shirdi have also emerged on social media. They were seen seeking blessings at Shirdi Sai Baba temple. Post that, Rani was seen interacting with the media, during which she said, \u201cI\u2019m feeling very happy today as I\u2019ve come to Shirdi. Recently, since I received the National Award, I wanted to thank Baba, which is why I came. And with War 2 releasing soon \u2014 my husband\u2019s film \u2014 I also came to pray for that.”<\/p>\n

Rani Mukerji\u2019s National Award Win<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the unversed, Rani was honoured with the Best Actress award for her powerful role in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, where she plays a mother in a legal battle to bring her children back. The film is based on the real-life story of Sagarika Chakraborty, an Indian woman who fought the Norwegian government for custody of her kids.<\/p>\n

About War 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

War 2\u2019s plot sets up an intense face-off between Hrithik Roshan\u2019s character, Major Kabir Dhaliwal, and Jr NTR\u2019s Vikram. Both are Indian spies but operate on vastly different interpretations of patriotism, leading to a clash that promises to be both physical and ideological. Kiara Advani steps in as Kavya Luthra, a character expected to play a pivotal role in the unfolding drama.<\/p>\n

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 serves as the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster War, which starred Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff, and Vaani Kapoor. This sequel is also a part of the growing YRF Spy Universe, which connects characters and narratives from films like Pathaan and Tiger Zinda Hai.<\/p>\n

War 2 will hit the theatres on 14th<\/sup> August.<\/p>\n
