Grok 4 launch: Elon Musk is ready to take on the might of OpenAI with the new Grok 4 launch ahead of the ChatGPT 5 version expected to be announced soon. Musk was part of the livestream of the event where the new Grok 4 model was introduced along with a brief look at the features that people can expect from the latest version. <\/span><\/p>\n

The company is calling it the world\u2019s most powerful AI model, which is easier to claim then done. Grok has faced some issues over the last few weeks, notably its rogue behaviour and supporting anti semitic views which caused concerns in the AI circle.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Grok 4 Launch Date And Release Time<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Grok 4 launch was made official Thursday, July 10, 2025. The new Grok AI version is already available on the Grok app which is compatible with Android and iOS devices.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Grok 4 Benchmarks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Elon Musk was brimming with pride with the Grok 4 launch, and suggested that in relation to academic questions, the new AI model can perform levels better than a PhD researcher. He suggests the AI model has still not invented new technologies but it is not beyond the realm of its abilities, again a very tall ask to even mention.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

xAI, the company which has developed the Grok 4 model claims the new model scored 25.4 percent on Humanity\u2019s Last Exam without tools, which means it has outperformed both Gemini 2.5 Pro from Google and the o3 from OpenAI. And with the tools, Grok 4 benchmark score was 44.4 percent, again doing much better than Google\u2019s top-end AI model.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Grok 4 Subscription Price<\/strong><\/p>\n

Grok 4 launch has come along with the new Grok 4 Heavy model and a new subscription plan called SuperGrok Heavy priced at $300 (Rs 25,200 approx) per month. Plans like these are mostly suited for people who need heavy AI usage like researchers, developers, and companies in the AI field.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new Grok 4 model will be put through tougher tests when ChatGPT 5 rolls out later this year.<\/p>\n
