SBI Q1 Results:<\/strong> State Bank of India Ltd (SBI) on Friday reported a 12% year-on-year rise in net profit to Rs 19,160 crore for the June quarter, up from Rs 17,035 crore in the same period last year.<\/p>\n

The bank\u2019s total income grew 10.31% to Rs 1.35 lakh crore, compared to Rs 1.22 lakh crore a year ago.<\/p>\n

However, net interest income (NII) remained nearly flat at Rs 41,072 crore, dipping 0.13% year-on-year. This was largely due to a decline in margins \u2014 SBI\u2019s net interest margin (NIM) for the whole bank dropped by 32 basis points to 2.90%, while domestic NIM fell 33 basis points to 3.02%.<\/p>\n

The bank\u2019s operating profit rose 15.49% to Rs 30,544 crore, supported by a sharp 55.40% jump in non-interest income, which stood at Rs 17,346 crore.<\/p>\n
