Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday told the Lok Sabha that \u201cno important asset of ours was damaged” during Operation Sindoor, the recent counter-terror operation conducted in Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n

Addressing the House, Singh assured members that the armed forces acted with precision and the operation was carried out successfully without compromising any critical defence infrastructure.<\/p>\n

He emphasised that Operation Sindoor was a \u201cdecisive and effective demonstration” of India\u2019s policy against terrorism.<\/p>\n

The Defence Minister informed the Lok Sabha about the \u201cin-depth study” conducted by the armed forces before launching Operation Sindoor. He said that India chose to inflict maximum damage to terrorists while ensuring that civilians remained unharmed.<\/p>\n

Opening the debate on Operation Sindoor, Singh said: \u201cSoon after the Pahalgam attack, our Armed Forces took action and hit with precision the nine terrorist infrastructure sites in which more than 100 terrorists, their trainers and handlers were targeted.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Rajnath Singh also hailed the success of India\u2019s defence preparedness, stating, \u201cI am proud to say that our Air Defence system, Counter-Drone system, and electronic equipment completely foiled this attack by Pakistan. Pakistan could not hit any of our targets, and none of our important assets were damaged. Our security arrangements were impregnable, and every attack was thwarted.”<\/p>\n

Referring to the air strikes carried out by the Indian Air Force, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that on May 10, when the IAF launched powerful strikes on multiple airfields in Pakistan, Islamabad admitted defeat and offered to cease hostilities.<\/p>\n

He added that while India accepted the offer, it did so with a clear caveat that the operation had only been paused. Singh warned that any future misadventure from Pakistan\u2019s side would lead to the immediate resumption of the operation.<\/p>\n
