The initiative spans established and emerging markets from the US, UK and France to China, India, Japan and Brazil, with Australia, New Zealand and Fiji treated as one Oceania profile.<\/p>\n<p>For the textile and apparel industry, however, the numbers show how difficult that diversification will be. RMG exports stood at $<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> billion, about Tk <span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> trillion (~$<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> billion) in FY<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>&#8211;<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>, accounting for <span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> per cent of Bangladesh\u2019s $<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> billion merchandise exports, worth roughly Tk <span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> trillion (~$<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> billion). According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fibre2fashion.com\/market-intelligence\/texpro-textile-and-apparel\/\" rel=\"noopener\" style=\"color:#0167df;text-decoration:none;cursor:pointer;\" target=\"_blank\">TexPro<\/a>, the top <span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> apparel destinations still commanded <span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> per cent of Bangladesh\u2019s apparel trade, barely changed from <span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> per cent in FY<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>&#8211;<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>. The challenge, therefore, is no longer simply finding more countries willing to buy Bangladeshi garments.
