Air India has issued a travel advisory after a technical fault at the UK’s National Air Traffic Services (NATS) disrupted flights operating to and from airports across the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

The airline said multiple Air India flights had been diverted, delayed or cancelled due to the disruption. It also warned that some of its other services could face delays as aircraft and crew schedules had been affected.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, it said, \u201cFlights operating to and from airports in the United Kingdom have been impacted by a technical fault at NATS, the UK air traffic control provider. As a result, Air India has been forced to divert, delay or cancel multiple flights scheduled to operate to and from UK airports.\u201d<\/p>\n

Air India advises passengers to check flight status<\/strong><\/p>\n

In its advisory, Air India urged passengers travelling to or from the UK to check the latest status of their flights before heading to the airport. The airline said it was closely monitoring the situation and working to minimise disruptions.<\/p>\n

Air India added that the situation was beyond its control and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to passengers.<\/p>\n

Technical fault disrupts flights across UK<\/strong><\/p>\n

The disruption was caused by a problem with NATS’ flight processing system,<\/a> affecting operations at several airports across Britain. Although the issue was later resolved, delays and cancellations continued as airlines and airports worked to clear the backlog.<\/p>\n

Affected airports included London Stansted, London City and Gatwick, along with airports in Manchester, Birmingham and Scotland.<\/p>\n

British Airways and Ryanair were among the airlines forced to cancel or divert several flights, while other carriers also warned passengers about delays and disruptions across their networks.\u00a0<\/p><\/div>\n
