It is expected to provide an alternative transport option to commuters travelling along Bannerghatta Road and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n The project has faced several delays over the years. Earlier, Gowda had said that the Pink Line would open in August this year. He had claimed that the stretch from Tavarekere to Nagawara was to be completed in March 2027, according to The Hindu.<\/p>\n As of now, there are no details on the fare of the Bengaluru Pink Line. The Namma Metro hiked metro fares<\/a> in February this year. Under the revised charges, the fare for the 0-2 km slab (Fare Zone 1) was increased from \u20b910 to \u20b911, according to India Today.<\/p>\n Similarly, the maximum fare for distances above 30 km (Fare Zone 10) rose from \u20b990 to \u20b995.As of now, the Pink Line is awaiting safety and rolling stock clearances and approval from the Centre. Once those are obtained, the Kalena Agrahara-Tavarekere section is expected to begin passenger services.<\/p><\/div>\n\n
The 21.3 km line connects Kalena Agrahara in the south to Nagawara in the north. Of the route, 7.5 km is elevated, while 13.8 km runs underground, connecting key areas such as MG Road, Shivajinagar, Tannery Road, and Dairy Circle.<\/p>\n
