Construction of a new industrial project by China’s Zhejiang Jiansheng Group Co. Ltd, commercially known as JASAN Group, began in Egypt’s Qantara West Industrial Zone recently.
\nTo be implemented in three phases, the project will comprise an integrated industrial complex covering spinning and weaving, readymade and sportswear manufacturing, seamless garments, socks, accessories, elastic fabrics and dyeing. <\/p>\n

The project is expected to export 90 per cent of its production to international markets, with the remaining serving the domestic market, and is projected to create around 6,000 direct jobs once fully operational, according to Egyptian media outlets.<\/p>\n
Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) chairperson Waleid Gamal El-Din said SCZONE contracted 117 industrial projects during fiscal 2025-26, with investments worth $7.26 billion.<\/p>\n
The JASAN Group plans to introduce advanced smart manufacturing technologies, automation, digital management systems, and environmentally sustainable production practices, he added.<\/p>\n
