As part of the partnership, videos showcasing India\u2019s wildlife and cultural heritage were also released at ITB Berlin earlier this year and have been used by Indian missions overseas for tourism promotion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Films and series as tourism touchpoints<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entertainment content has emerged as a way for audiences to discover new destinations and cultural experiences. Locations featured in films and shows often influence travel interest, with viewers seeking to explore places they encounter on screen.<\/p>\n<p>The new section will bring together information on places featured in Netflix productions and connect them with tourism-related details.<\/p>\n<p>Shekhawat said storytelling can help highlight India\u2019s heritage, destinations and traditions globally while supporting the country\u2019s creative ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p>Sarandos said stories rooted in different parts of India have reached audiences across markets over the past decade and can encourage viewers to explore the cultures and places portrayed on screen.<\/p>\n<p>Netflix has produced and distributed Indian content across multiple languages and genres since its India launch in 2016.
