On Saturday, cloud cover is expected to dominate throughout the day, with thunderstorms likely in the morning giving way to light rain in the afternoon \u2014 a good window for indoor attractions, museums or long caf\u00e9 stops rather than open-air plans. Temperatures are forecast to range between 27\u00b0C and 34\u00b0C. While the showers should offer some respite from the heat, high humidity is likely to keep conditions muggy for much of the day, so breathable clothing is a better bet than heavy layers.<\/p>\n
Sunday looks much the same. The IMD has forecast another cloudy day, with light rain or brief showers likely in the afternoon and evening. Maximum temperatures are expected to stay close to 34\u00b0C, with the minimum around 28\u00b0C. Anyone driving in or around the city should budget extra time: isolated spells of heavier rain could cause waterlogging in vulnerable spots and slow traffic during peak hours, particularly around Minto Bridge, ITO, Ring Road, the Pul Prahladpur underpass, and parts of Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad with poor drainage.<\/p>\n
Much of the weekend should still work for outdoor plans with a bit of preparation. Pack an umbrella or rain jacket, keep half an eye on the sky later in the day when showers become more likely, and build buffer time into any road travel during the evening rush.<\/p>\n Travellers with plans stretching into next week should note the pattern isn’t breaking any time soon. The IMD expects favourable monsoon conditions over Delhi-NCR through the first half of the week, with cloudy skies, intermittent light-to-moderate rain, thunderstorms and isolated gusty winds forecast between Monday (August 3) and Thursday (August 6).<\/p>\n Daytime temperatures are expected to stay in the low-to-mid 30s\u00b0C, with overnight lows in the mid-to-upper 20s\u00b0C.
