The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) shut 16 metro stations on Thursday from 7:30 am until further notice, citing security reasons.<\/p>\n

The move came as crowds grew at the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar, part of ongoing demonstrations over the NEET paper leak.<\/p>\n

Service Update<\/p>\n

Below mentioned Metro stations will be closed from 07:30 AM till further instructions. However, Interchange facility shall remain available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat.<\/p>\n

1. Lok Kalyan Marg
2. Rajiv Chowk
3. Patel Chowk
4. Ramakrishna\u2026<\/p>\n

This marks the second day in a row that DMRC has closed these stations. The same closures happened on Wednesday, but all stations reopened by evening.<\/p>\n

The affected stations are: Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhamba Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh and Shivaji Stadium.<\/p>\n

Commuters can still change lines at three of these stations \u2014 Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat \u2014 as interchange facilities remain open there.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
