Riyadh Air has opened ticket sales for its first route to India, with daily flights between Mumbai and Riyadh set to begin on August 4, 2026, as the airline expands its network to nine destinations.<\/p>\n
The service will operate between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh using Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.<\/p>\n
\nFlight RX0698 will depart at 22:05 and arrive in Riyadh at 23:50, while the return service, RX0697, will leave Riyadh at 14:05 and reach Mumbai at 20:35.
The airline said the route is intended to serve demand for travel between India and Saudi Arabia, while also providing onward connections through Riyadh to destinations in Europe and West Asia, including London, Madrid, Jeddah and Cairo.
\nSpeaking on the launch of the route, Tony Douglas, Chief Executive Officer of Riyadh Air, said, \u201cWith India emerging as one of the fastest-growing aviation markets globally, we are delighted to offer travellers a new premium choice and enhanced global connectivity from Mumbai to Riyadh, and onwards to Europe.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that the route had been selected to support the airline’s ambition to build a global network and contribute to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 programme.<\/p>\n
Ticket sales opened on 6 July through the airline’s website, mobile application and travel agents.<\/p>\n
Aircraft and loyalty programme<\/h2>\n
\nThe Boeing 787-9 aircraft will be configured with four cabin classes: Business Elite, Business, Premium Economy and Economy. Across all cabins, passengers will have access to Bluetooth audio connectivity, USB charging and Panasonic Avionics’ Astrova in-flight entertainment system, which includes films, television programmes and music.<\/p>\n
The airline said Business Elite and Business cabins will feature fully flat beds in a 1-2-1 configuration, while Premium Economy will have a 2-3-2 layout and Economy a 3-3-3 layout.<\/p>\n
Riyadh Air is also offering enrolment in its Sfeer loyalty programme, under which members will receive benefits including complimentary onboard Wi-Fi, no expiry of points and the ability to share points with family and friends. Early members joining as “The Founders” will receive priority access to bookings on new routes, the airline said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
