The decline moderated due to recovery in the latest month, with knitwear continuing to account for the larger share of total shipments. Industry data also indicate that T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s apparel sector had witnessed steeper declines during the first quarter of <span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> amid weak European demand and intensifying competition from Asian suppliers.<\/p>\n<p>April data signalled a strong recovery in outbound trade. Knitted apparel exports grew <span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> per cent year on year to $<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> million, while non-knitted exports surged <span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> per cent to $<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span>.<span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span><span class=\"startxt\">*<\/span> million.
