Apple\u2019s budget MacBook Neo has been unveiled at an event in New York this week as the company continued with its big week ahead teaser with another launch. This is probably the biggest of the lot, especially because you are getting an affordable MacBook variant which now sits below the MacBook Air lineup in the market and entices more people to get the Mac experience. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Apple MacBook Neo has launched at $599 but for people in India it starts at Rs 69,900 for the 256GB version while the higher 512GB model costs Rs 79,900. Apple will start selling the Neo from March 11 across countries.<\/p>\n

Apple is using recycled aluminium to make the new MacBook Neo and you get it in bright colorways. It weighs 1.23 kg which is not very different from the figures of a MacBook Air.<\/p>\n

It features a 13-inch LED Liquid Retina display but with lower screen quality and 500 nits of brightness. You immediately notice the lack of the notch like the Air and Pro models and the size of the bezels being thicker.<\/p>\n

Apple is using the A18 Pro from the iPhone 16 Pro series to power the MacBook Neo and it comes with 8GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The RAM is not upgradeable and the cores inside the A18 Pro are not a match for the M-series chip. You do get it with macOS 26 version and support for Apple AI features.<\/p>\n

Apple\u2019s new MacBook doesn\u2019t get a backlit keyboard, the Touch ID is limited to the 512GB variant, it doesn\u2019t come with MagSafe charging, but the battery gets 20W charging support. It has dual side speakers, the battery size is smaller and the trackpad comes without force touch support.<\/p>\n

You have single USB C 3.0 and USB C 2.0 ports along with a headphone jack. And it has a 1080p webcam for FaceTime meetings.<\/p>\n
