Apple\u2019s launch week continues and Tuesday is seeing the company launch not one but multiple Mac-related devices. The headline of the lot is the MacBook M5 Pro and Air versions, and we are understandably more interested in the latter for its overall popularity and historical value. <\/span><\/p>\n

The MacBook Air M5 is seeing hardware changes like the other launches from Apple this week but there is also the case of memory prices changing the dynamics of how much the MacBook Air now costs buyers in different countries.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

MacBook Air M5 price in India has gone up this year, and now you have to pay Rs 1,19,900 for the 13-inch model which gets 512GB as the base storage. The 15-inch MacBook Air M5 costs Rs 1,44,900 going all the way up to Rs 3,04,900 in the country. You are going to pay Rs 20,000 more for the 13 and 15-inch MacBook Air variants in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The design of the MacBook Air M5 doesn\u2019t change and you have the same 13.6-inch and 15.3-inch LED display with 500 nits brightness and still no refresh rate support. All the upgrade comes via the M5 chipset on the Air which can be customised with up to 32GB RAM and up to 4TB storage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The base variant has been bumped up to 512GB to somewhat offset the price hike. These will run on the latest available macOS 26 version and support a wide range of Apple AI tools.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apple claims you will notice a significant performance boost with the M5 chip compared to the M4 and the M3 versions. And better results for AI features. It has a 12MP Centre Stage camera for video meetings and FaceTime calls. The Air has a six speaker system with support for spatial audio and a three-mic array setup. It has a MagSafe 3 port for charging along with dual Thunderbolt 4 USB C ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. <\/span><\/p>\n
