The full 82.15-km Delhi\u2013Ghaziabad\u2013Meerut Namo Bharat corridor is set to open on February 22, with the remaining sections being inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What\u2019s in it for travellers?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\nDelhi to Meerut in under an hour: With a design speed of 180 kmph (and a maximum operational speed of 160 kmph), the Namo Bharat trains are built for speed. With the inauguration of:<br \/>&#13;\n<\/p>\n<ul>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>The 5 km stretch between Sarai Kale Khan and New Ashok Nagar in Delhi<\/li>\n<p>&#13;<\/p>\n<li>The 21 km stretch between Meerut South and Modipuram in Uttar Pradesh<\/li>\n<p>&#13;\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\u2026the entire corridor will be complete.<br \/>16 stations across Delhi and UP: The corridor features 16 stations in total \u2014 13 elevated, two underground (Anand Vihar and Begumpul), and one at grade (Duhai Depot). The 82.15-km corridor spans about 14 km in Delhi and 68 km in Uttar Pradesh, with two maintenance depots at Duhai and Modipuram.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seamless intercity + intra-city travel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Alongside the full corridor opening, Meerut Metro services between Meerut South and Modipuram will also be launched.
