Google is bringing its AirDrop support on Android beyond Pixel phones this year. The company has confirmed the news and talked about working with its partners to widen the availability of file transfers between Android and iPhones. It is possible that we might hear the big update from the company at the latest Google I\/O 2026 edition around May this year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019re introducing a way for Quick Share to work with AirDrop. This makes file transfer easier between iPhones and Android devices,” as highlighted in a post by Google marking this significant change.
