The ticket prices will go up by \u20b9 1 to a maximum of \u20b95, depending on how far a person travels.<\/p>\n<p>The fare revision applies to the entire 96.10-kilometre Namma Metro network and covers all ten fare zones.<\/p>\n<p>\nThe fare revision has been carried out in line with the recommendations of the First Fare Fixation Committee (FFC), which was formed under the Metro Railways (Operation and Maintenance) Act, 2002.<br \/>Under the new system, fares will be revised in small amounts every year, rather than being increased heavily after several years.<\/p>\n<p>According to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbctv18.com\/tags\/bangalore-metro.htm\"> BMRCL,<\/a> the step to increase the fare is to match inflation and the growing cost of running and maintaining the metro, while keeping travel affordable.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Revised metro fares<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For short trips, fares in the F1 zone (0 to 2 km) will increase from \u20b9 10 to \u20b9 11. On the other end, passengers travelling more than 30 km (Fare Zone 10) will pay \u20b995 instead of \u20b990, marking a Rs 5 increase on the maximum fare.<\/p>\n<p>Passengers travelling mid-range distances will also see a modest hike. For example, fares in the F6 zone (10 to 15 km) will increase from \u20b960 to \u20b963 and fares in the F7 zone (15 to 20 km) will increase from \u20b970 to \u20b974.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other zones fare<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>F3 zone (4 to 6 km): Fare increased from \u20b930 to \u20b932<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nF4 zone (6 to 8 km): Fare revised from \u20b940 to \u20b942<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nF5 zone (8 to 10 km): Fare raised from \u20b950 to \u20b953<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nF8 zone (20 to 25 km): Fare increased from \u20b980 to \u20b984<br \/>&#13;<br \/>\nF9 zone (25 to 30 km): Fare revised from \u20b985 to \u20b990<\/p>\n<p><strong>Discount benefits for digital payments<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Commuters using smart cards and National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC) will continue to get discounts. It includes a 5 per cent discount during peak hours, a 10% discount during non-peak hours on Sunday and national holidays.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tourist cards and group tickets<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbctv18.com\/tags\/metro-rail.htm\">metro<\/a> operator said the annual fare increase of up to 5% will also apply to tourist cards and group tickets.<\/p>\n<p>Under the revised fares, the one-day tourist pass will now cost \u20b9 313 on a smart card, up from \u20b9300, while the mobile QR version will increase from \u20b9250 to \u20b9263.<\/p>\n<p>The three-day tourist pass will increase from \u20b9600 to \u20b9628, and the mobile QR pass from \u20b9 550 to \u20b9578.<\/p>\n<p>The five-day tourist pass will now cost \u20b9943 on a smart card, compared to the earlier \u20b9900.
