The Indian government has been kept busy with multiple security risks becoming a concern for millions and now Mozilla\u2019s Firefox and Thunderbird have entered their focus. Over the last few weeks, Android and even Apple users in India have got security risk alerts and now it is coming to those using the Firefox browser.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These users have also been alerted about some major security risks via a January 2026 bulletin that can be handled by updating to the latest version of the Mozilla products which includes Thunderbird as well.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The bulletin from CERT-In suggests the issues can cause big issues if they are exploited. \u201cMultiple vulnerabilities exist in Mozilla products due to Mitigation bypass in the Privacy: Anti-Tracking component; Use-after free in the Layout: Scrolling and Overflow component; CSS-based exfiltration of the content from partially encrypted emails when allowing remote content. A remote attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by convincing a victim to open a specially crafted web request.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
