Google Maps is getting more AI-powered updates and this time it is linked to people walking or cycling. The AI model has become pivotal for its integration across products and Maps users are seeing new use cases for the technology built into the navigation platform for millions. Walking and cycling are not the most popular modes in Maps but the company is giving those users the option to enter the AI version and go hands-free for their travel and movement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Google is offering the hands-free option to use Gemini to ask queries about nearby cafes or a shop that you need to visit while walking or cycling. Because of the AI model, the questions can be conversational without needing to trigger the wake word every time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These new features will be part of an update that is rolling out for iOS users and Android devices who have access to Gemini in Maps across the globe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
