Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to debut this new privacy shield?<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

Samsung Galaxy S26 series launch is widely tipped for end of February 2026 and less than month before that happens, the company has shared its first teaser for the new Galaxy product. Samsung introduced a new version of display feature with the Galaxy S25 Ultra last year and we could see the brand go one step further with a privacy-focused display shield expected to be offered on the Galaxy S26 Ultra when it launches soon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSamsung will soon unveil a new layer of privacy to shield your phone from shoulder surfing wherever you go. You\u2019ll have the space to check your messages or enter a password on public transit without thinking twice about who might be watching”. This is a teaser to the privacy feature that we have heard about with various Galaxy S26 Ultra leaks in the last few weeks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The company has talked about its \u2018shield privacy\u2019 taking 5 years of development, which includes \u2018engineering, testing and refining\u2019 to have it working in the best possible shape. There is no denying that a phone is the hub for all your daily activities and a lot of them are very personal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Usually screen privacy works on the whole panel but Samsung seems to have found a way to make the software and hardware interact to hide a certain part of the screen that is visible to others. But this shield will protect (hide) the details from the prying eyes around you in a public space when you get an OTP message or want to make a payment using your PIN number.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Even the clips from Samsung in its post suggest major changes to how the privacy screen operates and we are excited to see behind the scenes work that has delivered the new shield. However, because the privacy tool is integrated at a deeper level, it might not be backward compatible, which means you will need the latest devices to take advantage of its privacy quotient.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ll probably get more details around the feature and other changes that Samsung could offer with the Galaxy S26 series and we should be getting those over the next few weeks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
