Samsung Galaxy S26 launch is getting closer and another leak has tipped a new date when the flagship lineup is announced in front of the world. The latest edition of Galaxy Unpacked is expected next month, most likely in the build up to the Mobile World Congress 2026 (MWC 2026) event in Barcelona. <\/span><\/p>\n

Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series in January last year which means the new devices are already facing some delays but that could also be part of the plan from the company as it looks to give Apple a tough fight in the premium space once again.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Samsung Galaxy S26 Launch Date Tipped<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The new leak, courtesy, tipster Ice Universe, claims the Galaxy Unpacked event for the Galaxy S26 series and other devices will be held on February 25 which is a week before the MWC 2026 kickstarts in Barcelona. He also points out that the company plans to have the new S26 phones on shelves in South Korea starting March 11 and start taking pre-orders a week before that.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Earlier it was reported that Samsung could rejig the series with a new Pro and Edge model finding space instead of the regular and Plus version. But those plans seemed to have been canned and the regular setup is going to be announced this year as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, talking about the main aspects of the Galaxy S26 series, the company is unlikely to enter the big battery battle (yet) but it sure could make some changes on the charging front. This has been mentioned in the case of the Galaxy S26 Ultra model and now a leak suggests the regular S26 models will also be getting a boost.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Samsung is reportedly going to power the new flagships with the Exynos 2600 chipset which is tipped to pack a new modem that is expected to offer satellite-powered voice and video calls. The Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus variants might not be Samsung\u2019s focus with these changes but the Galaxy S26 Ultra could be in for substantial upgrades.<\/span><\/p>\n

The brand is tipped to bring a quad camera setup with a 200MP sensor handling the primary duties. You can also expect a 50MP telephoto lens and the fourth sensor could be a 12MP or a 50MP lens. The other big upgrade could be with a 5,400mAh battery packed inside the S26 Ultra model which will be Samsung\u2019s biggest on its flagship till date.<\/span><\/p>\n
