Google Photos app lets you save memories on the cloud in original quality and expand its support by paying for the service. But soon the popular app could help you save battery on the phone. Yes, this has been spotted in an APK teardown of the beta version and chances are we might see this feature made available widely in the near future. <\/span><\/p>\n

You might be wondering how the Photos app helps preserve the battery, and that is the right way to think about this, but there is a good reason why it makes sense.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Google Photos App Battery Saver Option Spotted<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The APK teardown of the Photos beta app has been reported by Android Authority<\/em> who have spotted the new battery-saving tool that is internally being developed. When you enable the backup settings, the Photos app throttles itself in the background for syncs which helps in saving the phone\u2019s battery life and gives you more juice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Many users might feel this could be a valuable addition, especially when they don\u2019t need the app to continuously work in the background to sync the photos and video files. They can always do it manually and you might not know this, but turning off this option can enable you to get more out of your phone\u2019s battery.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Granted, the multi-device sync is also disabled when the feature is turned on from the settings but it is not the most inconvenient way to handle and get something in return for this compromise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is still early days with the feature and we can\u2019t say for certain that Google will have it ready for a public release. But we sure hope the company at least tests it with the beta users and gets their feedback on its performance and purpose before killing it altogether.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Google is also going to be busy with Apple helping the tech giant design its Siri AI version, courtesy the custom Gemini AI model for which Google is reportedly going to be paid $1 billion every year. Apple AI plans have been delayed and this could be its best way out of the dry spell. <\/span><\/p>\n
