Apple has decided that it needs Google’s AI expertise to build its foundation models that will power the new Siri and more.<\/h2>\n

Apple has chosen Google\u2019s Gemini to be the AI model that will power its much delayed next-gen Siri assistant later this year. The company has been touting the new AI-version of Siri for a few years but nothing has been released in the market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Apple is going to rely on the Gemini AI model to build its Siri assistant and other Apple AI features that it will be rolling out later this year. Apple says it found Gemini to be the most capable foundation for its future AI plans.<\/p>\n

Apple is going to use Gemini AI for its own features but the company is going to be building and running them through its own AI data servers and private cloud compute system which ensures that all the user data remains private as always.<\/p>\n

Google is basically going to be the supplier of the AI model for Apple and the company will be reportedly charged around $1 billion per year to make the model as per its design, specifications and other parameters. Siri AI has been on the agenda at Apple for years but its AI overhaul has been even more delayed compared to where Gemini and ChatGPT have made it so far.
