OnePlus 16 series could have more than two models in 2026<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

OnePlus 15 series launch has been done and dusted, even though the sightings of the 15s suggest the brand might have one more device. However, the OnePlus 16 leaks have already hit the rumour mill which claims the company could bring a new model to the market later this year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OnePlus had a Pro model a few years back, which is tipped to make a comeback in 2026 but there is a strong chance that OnePlus could name it 16 Ultra. We are seeing quite a few Ultras in the market and it doesn\u2019t feel very surprising to see OnePlus also looking to enter this arena.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OnePlus 16 Pro Or Ultra: What It Might Offer<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The leak sourced via OnePlus Club<\/em> on X claims after a four year hiatus we might see a OnePlus Pro model launching in the market. However, the tipster suggests it could be renamed to OnePlus 16 Ultra if the company finds it more suitable for the market and buyers. The rumoured device is expected to be announced in Q4 2026 which puts it close to the end of the year, when the OnePlus 15 was also launched.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

OnePlus dropped the \u2018Pro\u2019 moniker after the 10 series and since then we have got a single model with all the bells and whistles. Since then, OnePlus has added an \u2018R\u2019 model which fits into the \u2018affordable flagship\u2019 category. Last year we also saw the brand have a compact OnePlus 13s model, which could get a sequel in the form of the OnePlus 15s this year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Bringing an Ultra moniker will excite people but OnePlus (and Oppo to some extent) will really need to bump up its camera game.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The hardware and software has been good on a OnePlus phone but for an Ultra, the camera has to be Pro-level which is why we feel the pressure of an Ultra could be too much, and OnePlus could actually stick to the Pro version along with the regular and the S model for this year in the market. Also, one has to keep in mind that phone prices are going up and any pressure to offset that cost could force the brand to compromise on the product, which nobody wants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
