The smartphone market is going to see drastic changes in 2026 thanks to the AI push making RAM prices higher than ever. And now a report claims one brand is happy to ditch launching phones to counter this surge for the whole year. <\/span><\/p>\n

Asus is likely to pause its phone launches in 2026 which means the ROG Phone and ZenFone series will not be refreshed in the market.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t come as a shock that Asus could be realigning its focus to the other segment, especially since the last phone launch from the brand was more than a year ago. The report Taiwan by DigiTimes<\/em> suggests the company is going to stop restocking its existing models either, and that could have a direct impact on its overall situation in the phone market over the next 12 months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Asus is a strong player in the PC segment, where its laptops, and AIOs sell big but it also has other PC components that allow you to build\/assemble systems. With the craze to build AI machines, the pivot could be a smart short term strategy that could pay dividends in the long run.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
