Elon Musk-owned Grok faces new legal trouble as more countries question its AI model generating explicit deepfake images of women without their consent. France and Malaysia have joined India with their own concerns about the AI chatbot and how it was openly and freely manipulating explicit images which even includes underage kids in sexual attire. <\/span><\/p>\n

These images were generated based on the prompts raised by anonymous X handles over the last few days which outraged many over the lack of guard rails imposed by the company for its AI model.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

More Trouble For Grok<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

AI chatbots function around the triggers users use to execute an action, and in this case Grok has obliged to their request without looking at the bigger picture of what this means for innocent people.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Features like these are becoming powerful but making them safe for users is paramount and sadly Grok AI has shown the perils of the technology and how it can damage millions if misused.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The French Ministry has sought further investigation into the actions of Grok AI and how it was allowed to bypass user privacy and other laws to blatantly violate user data. The prosecutors in Paris have even reported the issue to the online surveillance platform in the country, and demanded the immediate removal of the AI chatbot for its users.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The authorities in Malaysia have taken note of the concerns posed by AI tools on the X platform and are investigating the online harms caused by the AI chatbot to thousands of users in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Indian government was the first to act on Grok AI last week, issuing a notice to X and ordering the AI model to stop generating explicit images that are punishable under law. Since then, Musk has publicly stated that using AI to manipulate content is a punishable offence but we\u2019re yet to see any major action being taken on the people misusing the AI tool to violate privacy of many women and underage girls. <\/span><\/p>\n
