Samsung is using its Google tie up to bring another TV-first feature<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

Samsung has confirmed its broader app plans for the AI smart TVs in 2026 and that includes Google Photos. In fact, the brand is bringing the Memories feature in the popular Photos app that will be available on the big screen if you have the AI versions of its smart TVs in your living room.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Google and Samsung have been working in a partnership which has given us the new WearOS platform and other Gemini features that have come to Samsung devices before anyone else. The Google Photos update is also going to be limited to the brand, at least for the next six months in 2026, it has announced.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Photos \u2018Memories\u2019 On Smart TVs: What It Offers<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So what do Samsung TVs get with the new Photos Memories feature? Google\u2019s built-in feature works on the Photos app for phones and tablets but not yet on the big screen which changes in the next few months. Memories basically auto-selects images relevant to the location, people or even a particular date.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The beauty of making it work with AI is that Samsung will use its Vision AI companion to show these visuals on the smart TVs based on the relevant timing. This is expected to roll out in March 2026. But Samsung has a few more AI tricks up its sleeves.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The other features coming later in 2026 are Create with AI which uses Nano Banana to let you generate new templates, and even convert images into animated videos. And you will also be given personalised results which focus on search based on select keywords like party, birthday and more. These features will work out of the box with the 2026 AI TV lineup from the brand. However, you need a Google account to use the Photos app and keep the memories feature turned on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CES 2026 is just a week from now in Las Vegas, and most tech brands will be showcasing their new AI devices and smart products. <\/span><\/p>\n
