Windows PC users have been issued a major security warning by the Indian government and it is in relation to the motherboard that powers the systems. Brands like Asus, MSI, AMD and even Gigabyte have been mentioned in the security note by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team or CERT-In in December 2025, which affects millions of regular users, with possible attacks on their system. The message is clear, be mindful of what you are doing on the PCs and be safe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CERT-In Security Alert Over PC Motherboards<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The CERT-In bulletin dated December 24, 2025 comes with a high severity rating and the security agency shares the details of risks. \u201cThese vulnerabilities exist due to improper enforcement of DMA protections during the early boot phase, which could allow a local attacker with physical access to exploit a malicious PCIe device to gain unauthorised access to system memory before the operating system loads.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
