The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday accused the Congress of colluding with \u201canti-India” forces, citing Indian Overseas Congress Chairman Sam Pitroda\u2019s recent remarks about the party\u2019s association with the Global Progressive Alliance.<\/p>\n

While addressing a press conference, BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sudhanshu Trivedi referred to Pitroda\u2019s remarks regarding Rahul Gandhi\u2019s presence at Global Progressive Alliance\u2019s conference during his recent Germany visit, said that Pitroda has \u201cinadvertently exposed” what he termed the Congress party\u2019s real ideological orientation.<\/p>\n

\u201cRahul Gandhi\u2019s long-time advisor, Sam Pitroda, who was also an advisor to his late father and the architect of his ideological mindset and psychology, has inadvertently exposed the real face of the Congress party,” he said as quoted by news agency ANI. <\/p>\n

The BJP spokesperson said that Pitroda himself revealed that Rahul Gandhi was part of the alliance\u2019s praesidium, while he was a member. He claimed that Global Progressive Alliance was a propagator of \u201canti-India” narratives. <\/p>\n

\u201cIn an interview yesterday, he said that the Congress party is part of an alliance called the \u2018Global Progressive Alliance,\u2019 and Rahul Gandhi had gone to Germany to participate in it. This Alliance is connected to an organisation that is part of a network of many organisations that are anti-India and promote anti-India narratives,” Trivedi said. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Sam Pitroda is asked about the connection between the Global Progressive Alliance and the Congress, he himself reveals that Rahul Gandhi is on its praesidium and Sam Pitroda is a member,” he added.<\/p>\n

Trivedi further asked that if the grand old party has become a member of the anti-India global conspiracy. <\/p>\n

\u201cAfter Sam Pitroda\u2019s statement, I want to ask the Congress party if they become a member of the anti-India global conspiracy, if they become a member of the nefarious nexus of anti-India global forces?” he added. <\/p>\n

In an interview with TV channel, Pitroda explained why Rahul Gandhi was absent from the winter session of the Parliament. He said that Rahul Gandhi had to skip Parliament to attend a conference of the Progressive Alliance, which was scheduled several months in advance, and he had to attend the conference because the Congress is a member of the Progressive Alliance and Rahul Gandhi is a member of the presidium of the alliance.<\/p>\n

The BJP leader\u2019s remarks come in the backdrop of Rahul Gandhi\u2019s recent visit to Germany, during which he visited a BMW facility and spoke about India\u2019s manufacturing sector, claiming that the country \u201cneeds to boost production, which was declining”.<\/p>\n

Also, addressing a gathering in Berlin, Gandhi alleged that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) were being used by the BJP to target political opponents while sparing those aligned with the ruling party.<\/p>\n

Rahul Gandhi came under heavy attack launched by the BJP, who said that he was undermining India\u2019s prestige.<\/p>\n
