Reacting to Congress MP Imran Masood\u2019s pitch to make Priyanka Gandhi Vadra the PM face of the party, her husband, Robert Vadra, said that \u201cthere are demands from everywhere”.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are demands from everywhere that Priyanka should come forward. There are also demands that I should enter politics. But right now, we should focus on the real issues that concern the people,” he said.<\/p>\n

Masood on Tuesday said that if Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were made the Prime Minister, she would give a strong response like her grandmother and former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Speaking to ANI, Imran Masood said, \u201c\u2026 Is Priyanka Gandhi the Prime Minister? Make her the Prime Minister and see how she will retaliate like Indira Gandhi. She is Priyanka Gandhi. She has Gandhi added behind her name. She is the granddaughter of Indira Gandhi, who inflicted so much damage on Pakistan that those wounds still haven\u2019t healed. Make her the Prime Minister and see how she will retaliate. You won\u2019t dare to do that.”<\/p>\n

When asked what it would mean for Rahul Gandhi, Masood said, \u201cRahul Gandhi will act too \u2014 they are not separate. Rahul and Priyanka are like two eyes on the same face, the grandchildren of Indira Gandhi.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, addressing students at the Hertie School in Berlin, Rahul Gandhi <\/a>alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is proposing \u201celimination of the Constitution” that grants equal rights to all and vowed to create a system of opposition\u2019s resistance that will succeed in removing the party from power.<\/p>\n

BJP\u2019s Shehzad Poonawalla, in a press conference, said, \u201cThe allies of congress party have already spoken against Rahul Gandhi\u2026Janmat is against him and now even Janpath is against him.”<\/p>\n

Reacting to his statements, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said, \u201cRahul Gandhi has indulged in \u2018Bharat badnaami\u2019 on foreign soil, there\u2019s nothing new in it.”<\/p>\n

\u201cRahul Gandhi should now rename the LoP position, not as Leader of Opposition, but as Leader of Propaganda, because going on foreign soil, meeting with anti-India elements, meeting with elements associated with George Soros, who wants to destabilise India, and then spewing fakery and propaganda against India has become the full-time job of Rahul Gandhi,” he said.<\/p>\n

UP minister Daya Shankar Singh responded to the pitch for Priyanka saying, \u201cPriyanka Gandhi\u2019s father, grandmother and great-grandfather ruled the country for decades, yet the nation did not prosper. Now, when the Congress is declining, what good will Priyanka Gandhi be able to do?”<\/p>\n

Congress ally CPI(M)\u2019s Rajya Sabha MP John Brittas questioned Rahul Gandhi\u2019s absence in Parliament. \u201cWe had already decided that Rahul Gandhi, as part of the opposition, should be present when the three anti-people bills were piloted in Parliament. However, it is for him and his political party to decide\u2026”<\/p>\n
