Chrome users on Windows and Mac have once again been warned about a dangerous risk that can be exploited remotely by the attacker. The alert from the Indian government security agency, Indian Computer Emergency Response Team or CERT-IN, on December 19 comes with a \u2018high-severity\u2019 alert to users of Google Chrome on popular platforms like Windows, macOS and Linux. Warnings like these are a concern for millions of users in the country and across the globe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Chrome Security Issue: What The Alert Says<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The CERT-In bulletin clearly highlights the issues plaguing the Chrome browser and how it can affect the users. \u201cMultiple vulnerabilities exist in Google Chrome due to out-of-bounds read, write in V8 and use-after-free in WebGPU. An attacker could exploit these vulnerabilities by convincing a user to visit a specially crafted or malicious webpage on the targeted system.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
