She also shared a picture on X and wrote, \u201cHands off our hijabs.”<\/p>\nHowever, there is no confirmation from the police on whether an FIR has been registered against the JD-U chief.<\/p>\n\u201cI\u2019m writing to bring to your attention a vile incident which has caused immense distress and hurt among Muslims, especially women. A few days ago, we watched with shock, horror, and worry as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar pulled down the \u2018naqab\u2019 of a young Muslim doctor in full public glare at a government function,” Mufti\u2019s complaint to the Kothibagh SHO reads.<\/p>\nShe further added that what made \u201cmatters worse was the unsettling reaction of the people around, including the deputy chief minister, who chuckled and watched with glee.”<\/p>\n\u201cThe forceful stripping of her \u2018naqab\u2019 wasn\u2019t just a brutal assault on a Muslim lady but on the autonomy, identity, and dignity of every Indian woman,” Mufti alleged in her complaint.<\/p>\nShe also shared a copy of the complaint on X and wrote, \u201cLodged a complaint at Kothi Bagh Police Station to file an FIR against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar for violating the dignity of a Muslim woman by forcibly removing her naqaab.
