Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Ram Kadam on Thursday got his haircut after nearly three years on the completion of his resolution to resolve the water problem in Ghatkopar.<\/p>\n

In November 2022, the Ghatkopar MLA had taken a resolution not to cut his hair until the water problem in the region was resolved.<\/p>\n

A video of Kadam cutting his hair has surfaced on social media platforms, in which he is seen smiling and appearing visibly happy. The haircut comes after the water supply issue in the Ghatkopar was reportedly resolved.<\/p>\n

He expressed joy over the restoration of water in Ghatkopar. \u201cI am happy that water tanks that can accommodate over two crore litres of water are going to be constructed here,” he said, adding that a water line from Bhandup has also been connected.<\/p>\n

\u201cFive years ago, I had closely observed how water is supplied across the mountainous regions. Today, I am happy about the fact that tankers with capacities of around two crores and seven lakh litres of water are about to be constructed over here,” Kadam was heard as saying in the video shared by news agency ANI.<\/p>\n

In a post on X, the BJP leader posted photos of inaugurating a new pipeline in Mumbai\u2019s Vikhroli and Anand Gadh areas. Additionally, he also shared pictures of his hair being cut at Anandgad Water Tank, which was donated to cancer patients.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis resolve led to 4 years of patience, struggle, constant follow-up, and perseverance\u2026 Finally, those efforts have borne fruit. Today, Thursday, December 18, at 11:00 AM, the hair was cut at Anandgad Water Tank and donated to cancer patients,” Kadam said in a post on X.<\/p>\n

What Kadam Pledged In 2022?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In November 2022, the Ghatkopar MLA had taken a resolution to not to cut his hair until the water problem in the region was resolved. He had also tweeted about his vow, stating that he would not cut his hair until sufficient water reached the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will not cut the hair of my head. This is my vow .. Until sufficient #\u092a\u093e\u0923\u0940 reaches the hilly areas in my constituency.. My continuous hard work continues. Almost every other day, work on this matter with officers is being expedited @narendramodi @JPNadda @AmitShah,” he had said.<\/p>\n

He had shared pictures of meetings with officials and tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers Amit Shah and JP Nadda in his post.<\/p>\n

Who Is Ram Kadam?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Kadam was elected for the first time in 2009, on a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) ticket. He later joined the BJP ahead of 2014 assembly elections and was re-elected on a BJP ticket.<\/p>\n

Kadam won the Ghatkopar assembly constituency with 73,171 votes in the 2024 assembly elections, defeating Sanjay Dattaray Bhalerao of Shiv Sena (UBT).<\/p>\n
