Most IndiGo flights<\/a> from Jammu and Srinagar airports were cancelled in recent days, resulting in protests by stranded passengers.<\/span><\/p>\n The trains, numbered 02439 (New Delhi-Udhampur Vande Bharat) and 02440 (Udhampur-New Delhi Vande Bharat), will operate with 20 coaches and run three trips in each direction.<\/span> Train No 02439 will depart New Delhi at 6 am and arrive in Udhampur at 2 pm, while 02440 will leave Udhampur at 3 pm and arrive in New Delhi at 11 pm. Both trains will halt at Ambala Cantt, Ludhiana, Pathankot Cantt, Jammu Tawi, and other intermediate stations.<\/span><\/p>\n Passengers can find the latest schedules and book tickets via the official Indian Railways website or the NTES app. \u201cPassengers are advised to check authentic train information through the official Indian Railways website or the NTES (National Train Enquiry System) app before commencing their journey,\u201d Singhal added.<\/span><\/p>\n In a post on X, Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh wrote, “Special #VandeBharat Train introduced between #Udhampur and New Delhi to meet the inconvenience caused to passengers on account of air flight disruption. For the time being, this service has been scheduled from December 12 to 14.”<\/span>

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Uchit Singhal stated that the Jammu Division operates special trains in emergency situations for passenger convenience and safety.<\/span>
\n“Currently, due to increasing number of passengers<\/a> caused by frequent flight cancellations, the division has decided to operate a special Vande Bharat<\/a> train between New Delhi and Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur). This will ensure passengers reach their destinations on time, and their travel plans are not disrupted,” Singhal was quoted as saying by PTI.<\/span><\/p>\n
