Reddit down issue affects thousands of users who got the internal server error message<\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n

Reddit Down: Reddit is the latest tech platform to crash this month and many users were facing issues accessing the forum while some were seeing the app freeze. Outage tracker platform Downdetector confirmed the issue for December 9, 2025 which started at 10:11 AM and over 21,000 users have reported the issue with Reddit where the Internal server Error was flashing right in their face for over an hour. <\/span><\/p>\n

Reddit confirmed the incident which affected the <\/span>Reddit.com<\/span><\/a> website, the mobile web version as well as the mobile apps. The company has not given the details or any reason for what caused the 2-hour-long down time but it seems to have resolved all the issues and the platform fully operational at the time of writing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reddit Outage Kicks Up A Social Storm<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While Reddit has fixed the outage issue, people for a few hours have been scrambling their heads to find a way to use the platform.<\/span><\/p>\n

Majority of the Reddit issues have been reported in the US and other regions while the impact for users in India has been minimal with barely a few hundred unable to access the forum website, whereas in other countries the reports have crossed well over 3,500 in just over an hour.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Reddit isn\u2019t the only platform to suffer outage this month, Cloudflare is the obvious name to add to the list which has seen not one but multiple downtime which took down a lot of the internet with itself in the last few months.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The recent Cloudflare outage affected trading platforms like Zerodha, Groww, and Shopify, while the bigger global down time got ChatGPT, X and other popular platforms unavailable for millions. <\/span><\/p>\n
