iPhone Fold is all but confirmed to launch in 2026 and now we just need the company to officially talk or at least tease the product. The iPhone Air launch in 2025 was heralded as the precursor to its foldable debut and there might be another reason for launching the sleek device earlier this year. A new leak around the iPhone Fold claims Apple could go fully eSIM with its new product, something it has done with the launch of the iPhone Air. <\/span><\/p>\n

The leak comes via tipster by the name Instant Station on Weibo which also hints at Apple opting for a sleek foldable design.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apple\u2019s foldable plans have been in the works for a while but the iPhone Air launch made it evident that it has designs for the product closer than ever. The company tested the waters by going eSIM for the iPhone Air this year, and even though the model hasn\u2019t sold well, some of its blueprint has been set up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Going eSIM for the iPhone Fold will have some people confused about buying the device but people will probably take the bet for the greater cause. People in India can sign up for eSIMs via different operators but Apple\u2019s challenge in China, one of its biggest markets, will really test the credentials and demand for its foldable. Taking the eSIM route also enables the product to make space for other essentials like a bigger battery or a bigger cooling system.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Having two iPhone Airs stacked together, could be the layout for the iPhone Fold design and there is a high chance of that working out. <\/span><\/p>\n

The iPhone Fold launch is expected along with the iPhone 18 Pros in 2026 and going by the rumours, the device could be priced at a higher level than the iPhones. We\u2019ll probably hear more about the foldable through various leaks and rumours as we build up to the big launch next year.<\/span><\/p>\n
