Cloudfare services are facing disruptions globally affecting many sites including Zerodha, Groww, Zoom, among others.<\/p>\n

Among the sites hit during the incident were Zerodha, Groww, Canva, Zoom, Shopify, Valorant, LinkedIn and Down Detector. Several Indian trading platforms also confirmed that they were impacted.<\/p>\n

Soon after the outage began, investment platform Groww posted on X that it was facing issues linked to the global problem.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are currently experiencing technical issues due to a global outage at Cloudflare. This is impacting multiple apps and services worldwide.<\/p>\n

We are monitoring the situation closely and will update you the moment services are restored. Thank you for your patience,” the company said.<\/p>\n

A short while later, the platform updated users again, \u201cOur services have been restored. Thank you for your patience.”<\/p>\n

Zerodha also alerted its users about the disruption on its trading platform, Kite.<\/p>\n

\u201cDue to a cross-platform downtime on Cloudflare, Kite is currently unavailable. Please use the Kite WhatsApp backup to manage your trades while we investigate,” the company wrote.<\/p>\n

Later, it confirmed that services were back to normal: \u201cUpdate: Cloudflare global outage resolved. Kite services have been restored. You can now trade normally. We regret the inconvenience caused.”<\/p>\n

Cloudflare is one of the world\u2019s largest internet networks. It acts as a protective and performance-enhancing layer between a website\u2019s server and its users. Millions of websites, including major global brands, rely on its services. Because of this, even a brief outage can affect many platforms at once, regardless of whether their own systems are functioning properly.<\/p>\n

The company earns nearly USD 500 million every quarter from more than 300,000 customers across 125 countries, according to reports. Its wide-ranging presence explains why a single disruption has such a broad impact.<\/p>\n

Cloudflare responded to the incident, saying it had \u201cimplemented a fix” and was investigating the cause of the outage. The exact reason has not yet been confirmed.<\/p>\n

This is the second disruption in less than three weeks.<\/p>\n

In November, Cloudflare faced another brief outage that temporarily affected websites including ChatGPT and Spotify. At that time, speculation about a cyberattack circulated online.<\/p>\n

However, CEO Matthew Prince clarified that the issue was not caused \u201cdirectly or indirectly, by a cyber attack or malicious activity of any kind.” He explained that it resulted from a change made to the company\u2019s database.<\/p>\n
