Apple Watch is a premium device that has been designed to help people with health alerts and now the Indian market is getting access to its new Hypertension alert feature. The health tool was first introduced during the iPhone 17 launch event but limited to the US market and now people using the Watch Series 9 or later models are able to make use of the new health option.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve seen instances of the device enabling users to prevent falling for major attacks and able to act on it before it becomes big. Now the company is bringing another useful health metric, something that millions can rely on, and linked to their blood pressure levels.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Apple\u2019s Hypertension Alert: What It Does<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHypertension notifications on Apple Watch use data from the optical heart sensor to analyze how a user\u2019s blood vessels respond to the beats of the heart,” as Apple has explained in a post. The Watch will keep a track of the activities over a 30-day period and inform the user if there is an irregular pattern over that time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If it works as effectively as the heart rate sensor, Apple has a critical tool on board its wearable. Apple is bringing the feature via an update on the Watch Series 9 and later models, Watch Ultra 2 and later that are powered by watchOS 26 version. You can set it up within the Apple Health app where it will seek your details including age, because you need to be 22 years or older to use the feature.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
