Maharashtra Local Body Election 2025:<\/strong> Voting for the local body elections in Maharashtra will take place today, Tuesday. At some places, it\u2019s the Mahayuti versus the MVA, while at others, it\u2019s a friendly fight.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Shiv Sainiks caught people red-handed distributing money all night before voting in the municipal council elections. Workers of Shiv Sena MLA Nilesh Rane caught the people distributing money and handed them over to the police.<\/p>\n

Two people from Devgad taluka came to Malvan city in a car. They were carrying money packets containing Rs 1.5 lakh, which Shiv Sainiks seized and handed over to the police.<\/p>\n

First Phase Of Maharashtra Local Body Polls<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n

The first phase of the highly anticipated local body elections in Maharashtra will be held today for 264 municipal councils and nagar panchayats. In some places, MVA parties are fighting each other, while in others, it\u2019s the Mahayuti parties.<\/p>\n

Therefore, this election will determine a significant political outcome in Maharashtra. Voting began at 7 am. Maharashtra will witness the first phase of the much-awaited local body elections today as the battle is taking place amid friendly fights, alliance strain, and legal tangles a year after the assembly polls.<\/p>\n

Nearly one crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in round one of the multi-tier rural and urban local bodies elections, which, according to the Supreme Court, are to be concluded by January 31.<\/p>\n

The polls will mainly be a fight between the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti alliance and the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) with friendly contests among allies at some places.<\/p>\n
