India will face South Africa in a three-match ODI series. Ahead of the start of the series in Ranchi on Sunday (November 30), legendary South African fast bowler Dale Steyn and former Indian wicketkeeper-batter Parthiv Patel have made their predictions about the result of the series and also for the highest run getter and leading wicket-taker.<\/p>\n

According to Steyn, South Africa, after defeating India in the two-match Test series, will bag the ODI series as well with a scoreline of 2-1, whereas Parthiv has predicted a 3-0 win for India in the home series.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy prediction\u2026 I feel India is going to come back strong. Inside of me, it says that India are going to win 2-1. But I feel it\u2019s going to be the other way around. I think South Africa are going to take it 2-1. Proteas, after this fantastic Test series, won (after) 25 years. They\u2019re on a roll. There\u2019s question marks around the Indian camp. I think the Proteas are going to win this 2-1,” Steyn said in a video shared by Star Sports on X.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really want India to beat South Africa 3-0. South Africa is also a good side, but I feel India is going to take it 3-0,” Parthiv said.<\/p>\n

As for the highest run getter, Steyn has backed Quinton de Kock, and Parthiv believes it will be world No. 1 ODI batter Rohit Sharma, who is going to score the most runs in the three one-day matches.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe highest runs in a 50-over game, the top three have the most chances. I\u2019m hoping, and I\u2019m backing Rohit Sharma to get the most runs. He was in good form as well; he was well prepared. So hopefully, he gets the most runs,” Parthiv said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m going to go with Quinton de Kock. I feel like he\u2019s got a point to prove. I feel like he\u2019s going to come here with some experience. He\u2019s played a lot of IPL games, and he\u2019s toured here (India) many times before. So he\u2019s played against a host of these Indian bowlers. So I feel like he\u2019s going to be my highest run scorer from both teams,” Steyn said.<\/p>\n

Even though Steyn and Parthiv made contrasting predictions in terms of the outcome of the series and the highest run getter, both of them feel that Kuldeep Yadav will be the highest run getter in the series.<\/p>\n

\u201cKuldeep Yadav is going to be my highest wicket-taker over the course of this entire series from both sides,” Steyn said. \u201cThe kind of venues we are playing in, I\u2019m once again looking at a wrist spinner. I\u2019m looking at Kuldeep Yadav to become the highest wicket-taker,” Parthiv added.<\/p>\n
