The BJP on Thursday launched a scathing attack on Congress, saying that several X accounts of the opposition party and its leaders are being operated from abroad to try to shape narratives in India.<\/p>\n

Addressing a press conference, BJP MP Sambit Patra said that Congress, Rahul Gandhi and well-known faces from the Left have not left a stone unturned in insulting the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and India since the BJP came to power in 2014.<\/p>\n

Patra said that Rahul Gandhi\u2019s people, who have no connection to India, sitting in Bangladesh, Pakistan, Southeast Asia, West Asia, Europe, and America, set the narrative in India. \u201cRahul Gandhi doesn\u2019t just go abroad and speak against the country; rather, he has been getting this work done from abroad with what planning and design,” he added.<\/p>\n

Elon Musk\u2019s X has recently rolled out a new feature that discloses key information about an account\u2019s background, including the user\u2019s location, the frequency of username changes, and the date the account was created.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor example, the official BJP account shows its location as India\u2026 The account of Congress\u2019s senior leader, Pawan Khera, is based in the US. The Maharashtra Congress account is based in Ireland, but they have now changed it to INDIA. The X account of Himachal Pradesh Congress is connected via the Android app in Thailand,” the BJP leader said.<\/p>\n

Patra claimed the Congress attempted to set a narrative on vote theft and Operation Sindoor, using these people from abroad.<\/p>\n
