Stuart Broad\u2019s reaction to England\u2019s batting display and Matthew Hayden\u2019s gloating next to him in the commentary box showcased the true spirit of the Ashes series.<\/p>\n

As Australian bowlers wreaked havoc in Perth, the former English bowler was left frustrated and livid as Matthew Hayden took a playful dig at Stuart Broad on live commentary.<\/p>\n

How Australia Dominated England?<\/h2>\n

A blistering spell from pace duo Scott Boland and Mitchell Starc triggered a dramatic England collapse, leaving Australia with a target of 205 to win the high-octane first Ashes Test in Perth on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The tourists were cruising at 65-1 and building an ominous second innings lead, but Boland and Starc left them shell-shocked with four wickets in as many overs after lunch.<\/p>\n

Boland ruthlessly dismissed Ben Duckett (28), Ollie Pope (33), and Harry Brook (0) in the space of 11 balls. Two deliveries later, Starc sent Joe Root packing for eight.<\/p>\n

When Starc removed Ben Stokes (2), England were floundering at 88-6. The veteran paceman secured a 10-wicket haul for only the third time in his career, following his first innings 7-58, a career-best.<\/p>\n

England were rescued by a crucial 50-run stand between Gus Atkinson (37) and Brydon Carse (20) before being bowled out for 164 on the cusp of tea.<\/p>\n

Boland ended with 4-33 and Starc with 3-55.<\/p>\n

An explosive opening day of searing pace saw an astonishing 19 wickets fall.<\/p>\n

Australia resumed on a meagre 123-9 and added just nine runs before Nathan Lyon was removed by Carse for four, leaving England with a 40-run advantage.<\/p>\n

Stokes was the star of the show, claiming 5-23 off just 36 balls, giving England a golden opportunity to win a Test in Australia for the first time since the 2010-11 series.<\/p>\n

This culminated an amazing comeback after they were all out for 172 at the hands of Starc.<\/p>\n

Australia were relying on the 35-year-old to replicate his performance in the second innings. He whipped the sold-out Perth Stadium crowd into a frenzy when he removed Zak Crawley in his first over.<\/p>\n

The veteran consigned Crawley to a pair, diving to his left in an incredible feat of athleticism for a memorable caught-and-bowled. He has now taken a wicket in the opening over of a Test 25 times.<\/p>\n

Duckett and Pope settled in, exploiting some uncharacteristically loose bowling from Boland, and safely reached lunch at 59-1.<\/p>\n

But Boland began to find his rhythm and some much-needed swing upon their return.<\/p>\n

Duckett edged to Steve Smith in the slips, Pope did the same to wicketkeeper Alex Carey, and Brook repeated the feat to Khawaja.<\/p>\n

Root, despite appearing to hurt his left ankle while playing football in a warm-up session before the game, strode out confidently at four.<\/p>\n

After a first innings duck, he was desperate for runs as he pursued an elusive first Test century in Australia.<\/p>\n

But he was no match for the relentless Starc, who forced a thick edge onto his stumps, capping his miserable start to the series.<\/p>\n

Brendan Doggett then took the wickets of Jamie Smith (15), Carse, and Jofra Archer (5).<\/p>\n
