Microsoft is going all in on AI and that includes its Windows 11 operating system for PCs. The company has recently introduced AI agents that handle your work in the background without disrupting other tasks. Microsoft plans to make Windows 11 as AI-centric as possible and that has definitely got people irked about the need to make a PC platform working in the direction of AI.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The first of its many efforts for the AI-first OS is the new Agent Workspace feature, announced at the Ignite developer event this week. AI agents are spawning everywhere and Microsoft is at the helm of the new era and the new feature is looking to show Windows in the best possible shape heading into the future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Agent Workspace In Windows 11: What Is It And How It Works?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Windows has created a separate space for Agent Workspace where the AI agents will be entrusted to run a parallel account that is capable of working without affecting your regular tasks. These agents can open apps, manage files and even run scripts for workflow, all handled in a different window. <\/span><\/p>\n

Letting them work with a different account means your main tasks are not monitored and the privacy aspect of the AI agent doing what it is supposed to do remains intact.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The AI agents can only do their work if you let them access the local files as well as apps because without that the experience will not be seamless. And you will need to give permission for each task. The ability to read these files makes it easy for the AI agents to automate the work, which includes making presentations or even uploading files when needed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Running the AI agent locally is a secure channel so that none of your data needs to be sent to a server for processing. Windows 11 is looking to bridge the gap between the OS and the AI browsers with its own suite of agents, and this is currently available in the Windows Insider Preview version with a full release expected in the near future. <\/span><\/p>\n
