We\u2019ve seen benchmark tests done to compare the levels of iPhones and Android devices and now we have analysts doing tests to see how the iPhone Wi-Fi modem performs in comparison to the Android peers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"1\" class=\"story_para_1\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">The N1 chip is newly designed and the company says the speeds and stability is better but how does it compare with the latest Pixel 10 Pro from Google or even the Galaxy S25 series from Samsung?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"2\" class=\"story_para_2\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\"><strong>iPhone 17 Wi-Fi Tests With Android: Who Wins?<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"3\" class=\"story_para_3\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">The report from Ookla has done the heavy work to give us the details about how the N1 chip performs on the iPhone 17 series and how the Android devices go about with their Wi-Fi scores. The Pixel 10 Pro leads the results with its median download speed of 335.33 Mbps, while the iPhone 17 managed 329.56 Mbps speed, which is also not that far.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"4\" class=\"story_para_4\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">When it comes to the low-end network conditions, the test results of the iPhone 17 were better by around 3 Mbps faster than the Android phones. <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"5\" class=\"story_para_5\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">We\u2019ve also personally noticed that the Wi-Fi network fluctuates quite a lot on the Pixel devices, which could be because of how the modem interacts with the Wi-Fi signal on these phones. More importantly, the median download speed of the iPhone 16 was 40 percent slower than the N1 chip on the iPhone 17 in these tests.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"6\" class=\"story_para_6\"><span style=\"font-weight:400\">So these speeds are clear enough to tell you that Apple has focused on making a balanced N1 Wi-Fi chip that not only scores high with the median speeds but also handles the tougher conditions better than the competition.
