One of the longest-running Indian daily soaps, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai <\/a>has consistently captivated audiences with its interesting plot, spectacular performances and unexpected twists. The drama, which stars Rohit Purohit and Samridhii Shukla as Armaan and Abhira, has a time jump. With this, it has also introduced new characters. While Urva Rumani, Ruheen Ali Khan and Sushee Parashar have already joined the show, reports suggest that Rahul Sharma is also set to make his entry soon.<\/p>\n

The show recently took a seven-year leap, after which the dynamics between the lead characters drastically changed. Abhira and Armaan have parted ways. There is a new woman in Armaan\u2019s life who has piqued viewers\u2019 interest. To add to the drama, a report from India Forums mentioned that Rahul Sharma is expected to be seen as a new character opposite Samridhii. Rahul is known for his work on shows like Kaal Bhairav Ek Rahasya, Mitegi Lakshman Rekha and more. Reportedly, Dheeraj Dhoopar was initially considered for the role.<\/p>\n

In a recent leap promo for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Armaan is shown taking up a new job as an RJ, leaving his previous occupation as a lawyer behind. He and Abhira have been separated due to misunderstandings. Their daughter, Pookie, has grown up and now lives with her father and a woman in Mount Abu. While Urva Rumani portrays the grown-up Pookie, Ruheen Ali Khan is seen as the new woman in their lives.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the leap and what to expect from the story, Samridhii Shukla mentioned, \u201cIt feels like a new show. It\u2019s a whole new vibe. All the old characters you\u2019ve seen are there, but everyone is new in a different way that I don\u2019t want to reveal. You will see\u2026 and it\u2019s very interesting. You can expect the grief of Abhira as a mother. The grief and guilt she has been carrying since the 5-7 year leap\u2026 She has been drowned in it, believing she was irresponsible, and that\u2019s why she lost her daughter, and also Armaan,” as quoted by Etimes.<\/p>\n

Garvota Sadhwani, Anita Raj, Shruti Ulfat and Mohit Parmar also feature in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Rajan Shahi\u2019s Directors Kut Productions has produced the show for about 16 years.<\/p>\n
