The political spotlight has shifted dramatically from Bihar to West Bengal, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi using NDA\u2019s sweeping victory in Bihar to energise the BJP\u2019s Bengal unit. In his address at the Delhi headquarters, Modi directly linked the Bihar mandate to the upcoming Bengal battle, declaring, \u201cThe Ganga flows through Bihar and reaches Bengal. Bihar has paved the way for the BJP\u2019s victory in Bengal. I congratulate the people of Bihar. Together, we will uproot jungle raj from West Bengal as well.”<\/p>\n

This message from the Prime Minister has significantly boosted the morale of Bengal BJP leaders and workers. Party insiders say Modi\u2019s remarks have acted as a strong motivational signal, setting the tone for the campaign ahead. Senior leaders have welcomed his statement and assured that they will put in every effort to dislodge the Trinamool Congress from power.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe PM has set the road map for us. Bihar toh jhaki hai, Bengal abhi baki hai<\/em> (Bihar is a trailer, Bengal is still left), we will all follow his road map,” said BJP MP Sukanta Majumdar.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The TMC, however, responded sharply. Party spokesperson Kunal Ghosh countered Modi\u2019s remarks, saying jungle raj is not in Bengal but in places like Hathras and Unnao. \u201cThere is no jungle raj in Bengal \u2014 that existed during the Left rule. The central government\u2019s own reports show Bengal is doing well. Modi is speaking with a political motive. Bengal is the safest state; the new jungle raj is in Unnao and Hathras,” he said.<\/p>\n

Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya also criticised the Prime Minister, stating, \u201cModiji should not be under any illusion. By halting funds, especially those meant for women, he has insulted the people of Bengal. Women and ordinary citizens will give a democratic answer in the coming elections by defeating the Bangla-birodhi zamindars of the BJP.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, celebrations broke out at the West Bengal BJP headquarters following the Bihar verdict. Supporters gathered at the Salt Lake office, distributing sweets and chanting \u201cNext is Bengal”. From Nandigram to Cooch Behar, jubilant scenes were reported across party offices. Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari led a victory rally in the Bengal Assembly and distributed laddoos.<\/p>\n

Probal Roy, a BJP worker from New Town, told News18, \u201cWe are ready. The next battle is in Bengal, and this time, we believe TMC\u2019s \u2018visarjan<\/em>\u2019 will be final.”<\/p>\n

Bengal BJP president Shamik Bhattacharya said the Bihar results reflect effective governance. \u201cThere is no jungle raj in Bihar. The entire Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process was peaceful and smooth. This is the kind of administration NDA delivers. Earlier, migration was from Bihar to Bengal; now people are leaving Bengal,” he said.<\/p>\n

He added that the BJP\u2019s next focus is West Bengal: \u201cWe are confident TMC\u2019s \u2018visarjan<\/em>\u2019 will happen next. We have defeated leaders in Delhi, Haryana, Maharashtra and now Bihar \u2014 Bengal is next.”<\/p>\n

Bhattacharya clarified that the SIR exercise is not the BJP\u2019s \u201cweapon”, but emphasised that the party will push for the removal of illegal voters. \u201cThe Bihar win is a major morale booster,” he noted.<\/p>\n

Party sources told News18 that from Friday evening, the BJP will shift its complete focus to Bengal. Senior leader Bhupendra Yadav has already arrived in Kolkata to hold meetings with spokespersons and the core committee as the party prepares to go into \u201cattack mode”. Plans have been chalked out, and groundwork for the Bengal campaign has begun.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, TMC leaders insist the Bihar result will have no bearing on Bengal. Kunal Ghosh said, \u201cSome BJP leaders think this victory will influence Bengal. They are wrong. The factors in Bengal and Bihar are entirely different. Their excitement is misplaced.”<\/p>\n

TMC sources added that the party will begin its campaign programmes later this week.<\/p>\n

Political observers say the momentum for the Bengal elections has officially begun. As one analyst put it, \u201cFasten your seat belts. The next station is Bengal.”<\/p>\n

Following the Bihar victory, the BJP posted on X, \u201cNext is West Bengal.” The TMC responded by tagging the tweet and posting a video of a child saying, \u201cSapne dekhna achhi baat hai<\/em>.”<\/p>\n

With Bhupendra Yadav already holding strategy meetings on Friday, it is clear that the BJP has swiftly switched into campaign mode \u2014 driven by the Prime Minister\u2019s message that the road from Patna now leads straight to Kolkata.<\/p>\n
