The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday registered a massive win in the Bihar Assembly elections by winning 202 of the 243 seats. If any one person deserves the most credit for this victory, it is Prime Minister Narendra Modi.<\/p>\n

PM Modi was not only the most popular campaigner for the NDA in Bihar, but also managed to bring all the constituent parties together, firmly backing Nitish Kumar. Furthermore, the Prime Minister also defeated the opposition in Bihar, leaving the boastful leaders speechless.<\/p>\n

The NDA is once again poised to form a government in Bihar, making it clear that Nitish Kumar will be sworn in as the state\u2019s Chief Minister for the tenth time. This is the NDA\u2019s second-biggest victory in Bihar and the RJD-Congress\u2019s second-biggest defeat. While the BJP managed to win 89 seats in Bihar, Nitish Kumar\u2019s JDU secured 85, Chirag Paswan\u2019s LJPV 19, Jitan Ram Manjhi\u2019s HAM 5, and Upendra Kushwaha\u2019s RLM 4.<\/p>\n

Narendra-Nitish Factor<\/h4>\n

This landslide victory for the NDA constituents is being attributed to the Modi-Nitish alliance, whom the Prime Minister himself presented to the people of Bihar as the Narendra-Nitish duo during the election campaign and sought voters\u2019 support for Bihar\u2019s development. The massive mandate in favour of the NDA is a testament to the immense trust the people of Bihar.<\/p>\n

The M-Y Formula Of PM Modi<\/h4>\n

PM Modi\u2019s and Nitish Kumar\u2019s popularity among women and youth transformed the election results. Instead of the RJD\u2019s Muslim-Yadav vote bank, it has now become more influential as the NDA\u2019s women-youth alliance. This was also due to a significant contribution from the Nitish government\u2019s scheme, which transferred Rs 10,000 to women\u2019s accounts just before the elections to encourage them to become entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

NDA performed better in 2010, with only four more seats. However, comparing these two results would be meaningless. Those results were achieved during the first five-year NDA government in Bihar, led by Nitish Kumar. People saw a significant difference in good governance compared to the jungle raj of Lalu and Rabri, from improvements in law and order to improved roads, electricity, and water.<\/p>\n

At that time, the JDU contested 141 seats and won 115, while the BJP contested 102 and won 91 seats. At that time, the JDU, led by Nitish Kumar, played the role of the elder brother in Bihar, and the BJP, led by Sushil Modi, played the role of the younger brother. In contrast, this time, the BJP and JDU contested 101 seats and won 89 and while the JDU registered its win on 85 seats, respectively.<\/p>\n

Achieving such success after the NDA\u2019s tenure in power in Bihar for nearly 20 years would be considered significantly more impressive than the 2010 election results.<\/p>\n

PM Modi\u2019s Vision For Bihar<\/h4>\n

Prime Minister Modi\u2019s speech from the BJP headquarters after the victory in this election is a significant boost to Bihar\u2019s hopes. During this speech, he not only presented a model for Bihar\u2019s development but also appealed to investors from both India and abroad to consider the state as a major investment destination.<\/p>\n

PM Modi expressed his strong commitment to ensure that Biharis find employment within Bihar and the state rapidly develops. He assured that the new government will realise this vision.<\/p>\n

The BJP has emerged significantly stronger in the 2025 Assembly elections, with a strike rate of over 90 percent. The JDU also won seats this time with a strike rate of over 80 percent, significantly improving its performance.<\/p>\n

The Alliance Partners<\/h4>\n

The parties of Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Upendra Kushwaha have also benefited greatly from being part of the NDA alliance. This time, seat coordination was good, and unity was evident among the NDA parties during the election campaign. This is why all the constituent parties achieved such a strong result. PM Modi has made continuous efforts to maintain this unity within the NDA.<\/p>\n

Rift Between Mahagathbandhan<\/h4>\n

On the contrary, Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav, who have been creating ruckus over issues ranging from vote theft to SIR, have been told by the public that this will not work. Unless there is a concrete blueprint for Bihar\u2019s development and the situation improves, the people of Bihar will not be able to trust these parties. This is a clear message: restraint in speech is also necessary.<\/p>\n

The public has rejected the kind of language used by these two leaders during the election campaign and even before, especially regarding Prime Minister Modi.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the RJD, which considered its permanent vote bank in Bihar, has also clearly seen its vote bank crumble. This is why in this election, the RJD was reduced to just 25 seats, while the Congress won only six. This is the second-worst performance for both parties in Bihar.<\/p>\n

Tejashwi Yadav has only managed to secure enough seats to become the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Assembly. Now, he will be forced to endure the NDA\u2019s dominance in the House for five years.<\/p>\n

Prashant Kishore Flops In Bihar<\/h4>\n

On the other hand, even those like Prashant Kishore, who boasted about his electoral strategy and threatened to quit politics if Nitish Kumar won more than 25 seats, have been told by the public that it\u2019s one thing to formulate a winning strategy for others and take credit for it, but quite another to enter the electoral fray and achieve success.<\/p>\n

Kishore, who boasted of Modi\u2019s 2014 Lok Sabha victory and Nitish Kumar\u2019s 2015 Bihar victory, successfully ran an election management business in several states, amassing wealth and fame, has now been shut down by Bihar, preventing his party from even opening an account for \u201cJan Suraj”. This is a clear indication that \u201cJan Suraj” failed to gain any traction among the people.<\/p>\n
