Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav\u2019s family is undergoing turmoil after his daughter, Rohini Acharya, announced her decision to quit politics and cut ties with her family after she alleged that she was subjected to humiliation during a confrontation following Mahagathbandhan\u2019s crushing defeat in the Bihar elections.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Lalu Yadav\u2019s estranged son, Tej Pratap Yadav, came out in support of his sister following her allegations against Tejashwi and urged the Centre and the Bihar government to order a probe if his parents were subjected to any form of mental harassment.<\/p>\n

Tej Pratap, who lost the Mahua assembly seat in the recently held polls, voiced his sentiments in support of Rohini and said that Jaichands (a metaphor for traitors) will have to pay the price and face the consequences<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is being said that some people, Jaichands, are making attempts to keep my parents, Lalu Prasad ji and my mother, under mental and physical pressure. If there is even a shred of truth in this, then this is not just an attack on my family; it is a direct blow to the very soul of the RJD,” he said from Janshakti Janta Dal\u2019s Instagram account.<\/p>\n

He further urged PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Bihar government to investigate if his parents have been subjected to any form of mental harassment.<\/p>\n

\u201cI request the PM, Amit Shah ji, and the Bihar government that an impartial, strict, and immediate investigation be conducted in the matter,” he added.<\/p>\n

The former Bihar minister claimed that under the influence of these \u2018Jaichands\u2019, the party deviated from its ideology, as it distributed tickets in exchange for cash and ignored pillars who had worked their whole lives to build the party.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, these same Jaichands, driven by greed and sycophancy, are destroying both the family and the organisation”, he said.<\/p>\n

He also took a dig at younger Tejashwi Yadav\u2019s close aides, Sanjay Yadav and Rameez Khan, as he doubted that these people might physically and mentally assault Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy father is already unwell, he absolutely cannot bear such pressure. I also request the government that if anyone has misbehaved, pushed or manhandled, hurled filthy abuses, or inflicted mental\/physical harassment on my sister, my mother, or my father, then people such as Sanjay Yadav, Rameez Nemat Khan and Pritam Yadav must immediately be booked and FIRs should be registered against them,” he added.<\/p>\n

In another post, Yadav said, \u201cI will not tolerate the insult to our sister under any circumstances\u2026 Jaichands will have to pay the price for their misdeeds\u2026 they will have to face the consequences.” \u201cWhatever has happened with Rohni didi has shaken me. I tolerated whatever happened to me, but I can\u2019t tolerate this insult to my sister. It\u2019s unacceptable and unbearable,” Yadav said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI must tell all these Jaichands\u2026 If they target our family, people of Bihar will never forgive them,” he added.<\/p>\n

Lalu Yadav Family\u2019s Feud<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The turmoil inside the RJD family deepened after Lalu\u2019s daughter, Rohini Acharya, in an emotional and sensational allegation-filled outburst on social media, alleged that she was subjected to humiliation, including abusive language, an attempt to assault her with a slipper, and her kidney being called \u201cdirty”.<\/p>\n

She alleged that she has been \u201csworn at” and accused of extracting \u201ccrores of rupees and a party ticket” in exchange for a \u201cfilthy kidney” that she gave to her ailing father.<\/p>\n

A day after having left for Delhi, claiming that she had been \u201cdriven out” of her parents\u2019 home by the cohorts of her younger brother Tejashwi Yadav, the 47-year-old shared lurid details of what took place at their place after the party suffered a debacle in the Bihar assembly polls.<\/p>\n

She said she refused to compromise on her self-respect or abandon the truth, claiming this was the reason she faced such behaviour.<\/p>\n

\u201cYesterday, a daughter, a sister, a married woman, a mother was humiliated, filthy abuses were hurled at her, a slipper was raised to hit her. I did not compromise on my self-respect, I did not surrender the truth, and solely because of this, I had to endure this insult\u2026Yesterday, a daughter, out of compulsion, left behind her crying parents and sisters and came away; they tore me away from my maternal home\u2026 They left me orphaned\u2026May none of you ever walk my path, may no family ever have a daughter-sister like Rohini,” she said in a post on X.<\/p>\n

While referring to RJD\u2019s debacle in the Bihar Assembly election results, Rohini said that anyone who questions them about taking responsibility for the party\u2019s defeat in the Bihar election would be treated the same way she has been, as they are unwilling to accept accountability.<\/p>\n

Rohini, who donated a kidney to her father in 2022, said she was subjected to \u201cfilthy abuses” during a confrontation involving two of Tejashwi Yadav\u2019s closest aides \u2014 RJD Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav and long-time associate Rameez. She accused them of maligning her by claiming she had \u201ctaken crores” from the family after the kidney donation, calling it an \u201cinsult beyond forgiveness”.<\/p>\n

She further alleged that merely taking the names of Sanjay and Rameez could provoke retaliation. \u201cIf Sanjay and Rameez\u2019s names are mentioned, they will throw you out of the house, make people insult you, and even hit you with a slipper,” she claimed.<\/p>\n

Tejashwi Yadav, whose leadership and choice of advisers have come under fire since the defeat, has stayed largely out of public view.<\/p>\n
