Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the National Democratic Alliance\u2019s (NDA) resounding victory in the Bihar elections, asserting that the state had rejected the poison of caste-based politics spread by the opposition parties.<\/p>\n

Attacking the RJD-Congress alliance at a gathering at Surat Airport in Gujarat, PM Modi said, \u201cOver the past two years, these \u2018jamanati\u2019 (bailed-out) and \u2018naamdaaar\u2019 leaders in Bihar have been spreading the poison of caste-based politics. However, the people of Bihar rejected the poison of casteism in the elections.”<\/p>\n

He also slammed the RJD-Congress duo of repeatedly attacking Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the Election Commission, saying that they were spreading an atmosphere of hate. Despite this, all sections of the public unanimously voted for the NDA, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn constituencies with a strong Dalit influence \u2013 38 seats \u2013 NDA emerged victorious in all of them. This is a huge rejection by the Dalit community of those who tried to divide them. They spread a lot of lies, but the Dalit community rejected them,” he added.<\/p>\n

\u2018Muslim League Maoist Congress\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Prime Minister Modi said the people had completely rejected the \u2018Muslim League Maoist Congress (MMC)\u2019, repeating his remarks from the Bihar victory speech. He said a significant faction of old Congress leaders who had worked under Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi were deeply upset with Rahul Gandhi\u2019s (naamdaar) antics.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey fail to comprehend why their party lost. So they have chosen an easy excuse \u2013 sometimes they blame the EVM, sometimes they blame the Election Commission, and sometimes they target the SIR. This game of excuses may sustain them for a few days, but in the long run, their cadre will not accept it,” he added.<\/p>\n

The PM said the young leaders of the Congress who enter the Parliament for the first time were worried about their political careers. He used this point to emphasise the importance of a \u2018Viksit Bharat\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI know that they cannot even utter \u2018Swadeshi\u2019, \u2018Atmanirbhar Bharat\u2019, or \u2018Viksit Bharat\u2019, because their priorities are not the nation, not the people of this country. I want to tell my young friends that the youth will never accept those whose thinking cannot aim for the upliftment of youth. Therefore, friends, the results of the Bihar elections are an important milestone in India\u2019s politics,” he added.<\/p>\n

With 202 out of Bihar\u2019s 243 seats, the NDA has decimated the opposition, putting up its best performance since 2010 \u2014 and Nitish Kumar will be back as the Chief Minister for the tenth time. From being the single largest party in 2020 with 75 seats, the RJD has crashed to just 25 seats, and the Congress was left with just six \u2013 one of the worst performances by the Mahagathbandhan.<\/p>\n
